I feel like we just did this, but that’s not a bad thing.
You can now officially register for the 2025 YAG! Note a couple of changes:
- We are going to start a little earlier than previous years, at 4pm on Friday. The exact order of events is still slightly TBD but what this most likely means in that opening remarks and roll call will happen before Mass. Last year I hogged the microphone after dinner until something like 9:30pm, which is crazy and something I would like to prevent this year.
- Registration and payment are now unified. I am experimenting with a different platform for this. We’ll see if it’s sustainable. Let me know if there are any issues!
- The cost of the ticket has increased by a $5 booking fee to cover payment processing. This has been charged by Stripe for years, but in the past, we ate it, and now, I’m passing it on. The simple reason is that I want to spend that money on things that make the YAG better.
- No more paying by cash or check, and no more waiting until last minute to pay. No payment, no registration. You can now cancel up to two weeks in advance and receive a(n automatic) refund. This should make you more secure registering and paying farther in advance. If you des per ate ly need an alternate method of payment, reach out! I’m trying to keep things streamlined and accountable but I’m a real Catholic person, not a bank.
- Stay tuned for other schedule tweaks! I will publish a detailed schedule in the next month. The order of some things may be changed. But for travel planning purposes, just keep in mind 4pm Friday to 3-4pm Sunday.
